ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
The Mooketsi MTB Challenge is unique in the sense that - once a year - it gives participants the opportunity to ride through a private game reserve. It is a qualifying event for Limpopo colours and is an officially sanctioned Limpopo Cycling event. The race caters for all levels of riders, from the serious cyclists, to the weekend warrior. We have endeavored to make this a family weekend. This year the MTB is held on 21 October 2017.
10KM MTB FUN RIDE
This is a fun race aimed at the inexperienced mountain biker who seldom rides and does not have a great deal of fitness. This is a easy route also for young ones, a nice introduction into what mountain biking is all about. The route is mostly gravel roads with some dual tracks.
35KM MTB RACE:
This is a qualifying event for Limpopo colours and is an officially sanctioned Limpopo Cycling event.
70KM MTB RACE:
This is a qualifying event for Limpopo colours and is an officially sanctioned Limpopo Cycling event.
GENERAL RACE INFO:
Rules and Regulations
- All riders (35km & 70km) must have a valid licence.
A day license must be purchased for R35 if you do not have one.
- All riders must wear protective headgear AT ALL TIMES.
Failure may result in disqualification and or penalty.
- All riders must be here at least 1 hour before the start of the race.
- Race numbers must be collected 1 hour before the race starts
- Online entries are open and close 17 October 2017.
- All CSA rules apply. Please go to www.cyclingsa.com to update yourself. Ignorance of any rule will not be accepted as an excuse for any transgression.
- All announcements and instructions made on Race day by the race director are binding.
- Registration closes 30min before the start of the first race. For your own convenience ensure that you are in time.
- All queries regarding the results must be lodged with the time keepers within 30min after results are made available on race day.
- No race number, No result.

Half Marathon - (All categories of Marathon plus - junior, youth, sub-junior)

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE:
Directions from Johannesburg
Take the M31 and Houghton Dr to De Villiers Graaf Motorway / M1
Continue to Limpopo. Take the N1 exit from N1.
Continue straight to Polokwane.
Take the R101 Off ramp to Tzaneen on the left hand side.
Take the R81 Off ramp to Gyani on the left hand side.
Cross the R71, turn right on the R81 towards Gyani.
Pass the Mall of the North on your left hand side.
After passing Mall of the North continue on the R81 for +- 75Km.
You will notice a Fuel station on the left hand side that is on a hill.
Continue straight until you see a board saying Jachtpad left.
Turn left onto Jachtpad.
Drive +- 10.8km. APC Camp will be on your left.
Drive safely, see you there.
